2. 2004 – Candle-lighters 2 6:45

RELEASED: 2006

NOTES: In the sequel, a group of three different friends, this time sisters, arrive at their rented accommodation, but their fun weekend away turns into a fight for survival as the mystery of why people are possessed and drawn down into the cellar underneath Martha’s old house is finally revealed.

The trailer was unique footage shot in 2004 featuring no cast, intended to tease an upcoming sequel. Candle-lighters 2 was filmed across two days in Summer, 2004. It was left unfinished and ultimately abandoned until an ending was eventually shot two years later, featuring an all-new plot with the same cast. Candle-lighters was officially McT Productions (later McT Movies) first film shot in October, 2003. It was improvised dialogue, mostly shot and directed by Thomas McNab. Additional scenes were shot by Haley McNab and Eleanor Tordoff. An early cut was edited using Windows Movie Maker in 2003, but the final version was released on Geocities in RealVideo format, Summer 2004. The film was named in honour of the charity Candelighters, whose cabins in Bridlington were used as the filming locations for The Clown. Both Candle-lighters 2, its trailer, and the original Candle-lighters were uploaded to YouTube in 2006.
